The Best Way to Spend That Christmas Money

If you know you’re about to get some extra Christmas money, or maybe that paycheck with the bonus just got cashed, this is exactly how I would spend it if you’re hunting for a mid range gaming PC! Gaming Workstations & Services is getting my weekly featured spot yet again, this time with an RTX 3060Ti build that’s priced to sell, and it indeed will. Quickly.

Favorite Features:

RTX 3060Ti – The prices of all 3000 series Nvidia GPUs are still way higher than they should be, but this $985 build is priced like they aren’t. The RTX 3060 itself is usually selling for around $450 on average, so fitting it into a less than $1000 gaming PC prebuilt is some serious value. This is a great card for high end 1080p or certainly some 1440p gaming as well.

Color Scheme – I love how the seller put this one together. The RGB in the front fans and RAM sticks match perfectly with the Funtin Sleeved cable extensions as well as the custom paint job on the Wraith CPU cooler. You’ll obviously be limited to only a red and black build with something like this, but if that’s what you’re looking for then this is perfect!

Upgradeability – We’ll talk more in the dedicated upgrading section down below, but I’m a big fan of just how much you can do with a build like this. To list a few, you can easily upgrade the CPU, RAM amount/speed, cooling, storage, etc.

Price to Performance Value:

This one is definitely screaming value below that $1000 price point. Compared to the big system integration companies, none of them are going to be able to offer a Ryzen 5 and RTX 3060Ti for anywhere close to this price point. They have no shot of matching the aesthetics as well. If you take a look on the Jawa platform, there’s only 1 other RTX 3060Ti build that priced cheaper than this one and it’s actually not a bad buy, but I like the one we’re checking out today because of the extra value in the design and aesthetics department.

First Upgrades:

We have a lot to work with here, which is a great thing for buyers that want to tinker around and upgrade their PC over time. For me personally, I would recommend selling the RAM kit that’s in here, and upgrading to a 2x8GB or 2x16GB 3600MHz kit. With a CPU like the 3600, you’ll see a significant improvement in gaming with faster RAM and if you sell your RAM kit (do it on Jawa) then you won’t have to pay that much extra out of pocket. After that, with the B450 motherboard you’ll be able to upgrade the CPU to almost anything you want such as a 5600X, 5700X, or maybe even a bit higher if you want to. Finally, the CPU cooler could be upgraded if you wanted cooler temperatures or more RGB, you can add more RGB fans to replace the black ones, and at some point you’ll need more storage than the 512GB Silicon Power SSD that’s in there.

Conclusion:

This is one of the best ways to spend that extra money that you’ve been sitting on, especially if you’ve been waiting for the best value for around $1000. The way that this PC is built you’ll be able to slowly upgrade it over time if that’s what you’re into, and you just can’t go wrong with Gaming Workstations & Services as they are one of the top sellers on our platform.
